Days of the month and week are only valid if they are spent immersed in the Truth;Without the Name of Vaheguru, everyone will walk around raw ie not spiritually ripe

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮਰਹਿ ਮਰਿ ਬਿਗਤੀ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ ਏਕੁ ਨ ਚੇਤਹਿ ਦੂਜੈ ਲੋਭਾਹਿ ॥....
Man-mukh Marah[i] Mar[i] Bigthee Jaah[i]; Aek[u] na Chaethah[i] Dhoojai Lobhaah[i]...
The self-willed people die and pass away in ruin;They do not focus on the One and seduced by the greed of another

ਐਥੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਨ ਆਗੈ ਹੋਇ ॥ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੁਏ ਅਪਣਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਖੋਇ ॥
Aithhai Sukh[u] na Aagai Ho-i; Man-mukh Mu-ae ApNaa Janam[u] Kho-i
They don’t find peace here nor in the afterlife;The self willed manmukh lose this lifetime...

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵੇ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਏ ॥ ਘਰ ਹੀ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਚੁ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੯॥
Sathigur[u] Saevae Bharam[u] Chukaa-ae; Ghar Hee A[n]dhar[i] Sach[u] Mahal[u] Paa-ae
By serving Guru Sahib, all delusions are removed;
The Palace of Truth is found within the House (ie inside yourself)

ਆਪੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ ਏਹਿ ਥਿਤੀ ਵਾਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਦੋਇ ॥
Aapae Pooraa Karae Su Ho-i; Aeh[i] Thhithee Vaar Dhoojaa Dho-i
Vaheguru themselves make them to be complete;During the same days of the week and the month which others spend in the love of another...

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਅੰਧੁ ਗੁਬਾਰੁ ॥ ਥਿਤੀ ਵਾਰ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਮੁਗਧ ਗਵਾਰ ॥

Without Guru Sahib, it is just utter blind darkness;The ones who serve/focus on days of the week (and their associated deities); they are ignorant fools...

KaamaN TooNae Aouseeaa KaNsoee Paasaar Pasaaraa
Hearing black magic, spells/witchcraft, all of this expanse of [hypocrisy] spread

ਗਦਹੁ ਕੁਤੇ, ਬਿਲੀਆ, ਇਲ ਮਲਾਲੀ ਗਿਦੜ ਛਾਰਾ ।
Gadhah[u] Kuthae, Bileeaa, Il Malaalee Gidharr Chhaaraa
Superstitions about donkeys, dogs, cats, vultures, black birds, jackels/hyenas, etc,

ਨਾਰਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪਾਣੀ ਅਗਨਿ, ਛਿਕ ਪਦ ਹਿਡਕੀ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ।

Superstitions about woman, man, water, fire, sneeze, fart, hiccups

ਥਿਤਿ ਵਾਰ ਭਦ੍ਹਾ ਭਰਮ, ਦਿਸਾ ਸੂਲ ਸਹਸਾ ਸੈਸਾਰਾ ।
Thhith[i] Vaar Bhadhraa Bharam, Dhisaa Sool Sahasaa Saisaaraa
The delusion of specific days of the month and week, days, nights, going or not going in certain direction...

ਵਲ ਛਲ ਕਰਿ ਵਿਸਵਾਸ ਲਖ, ਬਹੁ ਚੁਖੀ ਕਿਉ ਰਵੈ ਭਤਾਰਾ ।
Val Chhal Kar[i] Visvaas Lakh, Bah[u] Chukhee Kio[u] Ravai Bhathaaraa
They deceive and fraud then gain trust,Sinful behaviour from which how can the soul wife enjoy the Husband Vaheguru?

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸੁਖ ਫਲ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰਾ ॥੮॥ 
Gurmukh[i] Sukh Phal Paar[i] Uthaaraa
The Gurmukh attains the Fruit of Peace and crosses over [the scary ocean of the world]...(Bhai Gurdaas Ji’s 5th Vaar)

ਸਜਾ ਖਬਾ ਸਉਣੁ ਨ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ। ਨਾਰਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੋ ਵੇਖਿ ਨ ਪੈਰੁ ਹਟਾਇਆ ।Saj-aa Khab-aa So[u]N[u] na Ma[n]n Vasaa-iaa; naar[i] Purakh no Vaekh[i], na Pair[u] Hataa-iaa
Do not believe in superstitions associated with left or right (if you feel itchy on left hand or right etc.), don’t change the direction where of where you walk just based on which man or woman walks in front of you (superstitions based on when certain things cross your path)

ਭਾਖ ਸੁਭਾਖ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ, ਨ ਛਿਕ ਮਨਾਇਆ। ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵ ਨ ਸੇਵ, ਨ ਪੂਜ ਕਰਾਇਆ। Bhaakh Su-bhaakh Veechaar[i], na Chhik Manaa-iaa; Dhaevee Dhaev na Saev, na Pooj Karaa-iaa
Do not believe in the speech of animals to be superstitious (if a dog, cat, or other animal makes a sound before or after you carry out a certain task) nor any superstitions related to sneezing;Do not serve the Devi-Devte/deities nor worship them...

ਭੰਭਲਭੂਸੇ ਖਾਇ, ਨ ਮਨੁ ਭਰਮਾਇਆ। ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਸਚਾ ਖੇਤੁ, ਬੀਜ ਫਲਾਇਆ ॥੮॥
Bha[n]bhal-bhoosae Khaa-i, na Man[u] Bharamaa-iaa; Gur-Sikh Sachaa Khaeth[u], Beej Phalaa-iaa
Facing confusion, don’t delude your mind;The GurSikh will receive Fruit if planting the seed [of Sikhi] in the True Field...(Bhai Gurdaas JI’s 20th Vaar)

ਬੈਸਨੋ ਅਨੰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਨ ਸਾਲਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਸੇਵਾ ਗੀਤਾ ਭਗਵਤ ਸ੍ਰੋਤਾ ਏਕਾਕੀ ਕਹਾਵਈ । Baisno Ana[n]n Brahma[n]n Saalgraam Saevaa, Geethaa Bhag-vath Srothaa Aekaakee Kahaav-aee
The Vaishno and the Brahmin are of a different tradition [than us] as they do seva of the idol, listen to the recitation of the Srimad Bhagvatham (Bhagavat Puraan) and the Bhagavad Geetaa in isolation

ਤੀਰਥ ਧਰਮ ਦੇਵਜਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਕੋ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪੂਛ ਕਰਤ ਗਵਨ ਸੋ ਮੁਹੂਰਤ ਸੋਧਾਵਈ ।
Theerathh Dhharam Dhaev-jaathraa Ko Pa[n]dith Poochh, Karath Gavan So Muhoorath Sodhhaav-aee
They ask the Pandit about placings of ritual bathing, religious/righteousness, and pilgrimage - they go to the pandit to fix the auspicious time to carry out these tasks.

ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਸ ਗਰਧਬ ਸੂਾਨ ਸਗਨ ਕੈ ਸੈਕਾ ਉਪਰਾਜਤ ਬਹੁਰ ਘਰ ਆਵਈ ।Baahar nikas Gardhhab Swaan Sagan Kai, Sa[n]kaa Upraajath Bahur Ghar Aav-aee
But when he leaves a place and sees a donkey or a dog then sees it as inauspicious then goes back home...

ਪਤਿਬ੍ਰਤ ਗਹਿ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਤ ਨ ਏਕ ਟੇਕ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਅਛਤ ਨ ਪਰਮਪਦ ਪਾਵਈ ॥੪੪੭॥
Path[i]-brath Gah[i] Rah[i] Sakath na Aek Taek, Dhubidhhaa Achhath na Param-padh Paav-aee
If a Sikh is devoted the Guru but does not fully keep faiththen in this duality they will not attain the supreme state (of liberation)...

ਗੁਰਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਐਸੋ ਪਤਿਬ੍ਰਤ ਏਕ ਟੇਕ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਨਿਵਾਰੀ ਹੈ। Gur-Sikh Sa[n]gath Milaap Ko Prathaap Aiso, Path[i]-brath Aek Taek Dhubidhhaa nivaaree Hai
When the GurSikh meets the Sangat, the Glory is such...
Just like a Devoted Wife loses all duality when she has all faith in Her Husband...

ਪੂਛਤ ਨ ਜੋਤਕ ਔ ਬੇਦ ਤਿਥਿ ਵਾਰ ਕਛੁ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਔ ਨਛੜ੍ਹ ਕੀ ਨ ਸ਼ੰਕਾ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੀ ਹੈ। Poochhath na Jothak Au Baedh Thithh[i] Vaar Kachh[u] Grah[i] Au nachhathr Kee na Sha[n]kaa Ur Dhhaaree Hai
They do not ask the Astrologer/Jyotish nor the Veda’s about the lunar days, or days of the week... They do not have any doubts in their heart about the alignment of the stars...

ਜਾਨਤ ਨ ਸਗਨ ਲਗਨ ਆਨ ਦੇਵ ਸੇਵ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਰਤ ਲਿਵ ਨੇਹ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੀ ਹੈ।Jaanath na Sagan lagan Aan Dhaev Saev Shabadh Surath Liv naeh nira[n]kaaree Hai
They do not recognize/believe in auspicious/lucky times nor do they worship any deities,They worship the GurShabad, and meditate/concentrate on the Formless Vaheguru Ji

ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਤ ਬਾਲਕ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਕ ਹ੍ਹੈ ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਗਤ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ਹੈ ॥੪੪੮॥
Sikh Sa[n]th Baalak Sree Guroo Prathipaalak Hvai Jeevan Mukath[i] Gath Brahm Beechaaree Hai
Guru Sahib are the Parent who takes care of the Saintly Sikh Children;They become liberated while alive when they reflect upon Brahm-Vaheguru Ji...

ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਮਾਰਗ ਮੈ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਥਕਤ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਲਗਨ ਸਗਨ ਮਾਨੈ, ਕੈਸੇ ਮਨ ਮਾਨੀਐ ॥੨੬੪॥
Gurmukh Maarag Mai[n], Man-mukh[i] Thhakath Hvai, Lagan Sagan Maanai, Kaisae Man Maaneeai
On the Path of the Gurmukh, the Man-mukh becomes exhausted as they believe in auspicious/good luck times; how can they convince their minds follow GurSikhi then?

They have faith and conviction in the One;They let go of auspiciousness and carry out an Ardaas...

Against the ones drowning in the ocean of rituals and habits/practices...

ਮੁਅੱਫ਼ਿਖਲ ਸ਼ਿਨਾਵਰੂਨੁਲ ਸ਼ਿਵਾਤਿਲ ਖਯੂਲ ਵਲ ਵਾਹਿਮਾਤ ।

They are granted passage who swim away from the shores of fantasy and delusion...
