ਰਸਾਵਲ ਛੰਦ ॥ ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
Rasaaval Chha[n]dh; Twaprasaadh[i]
The Name of Chhand; [With] Your Kirpa
ਨਮੋ ਨਰਕ¹ ਨਾਸੇ ॥ ਸਦੈਵੰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸੇ ॥
Namo Narak Naasae; Sadhaiv[ng] Prakaasae
Namaskaar to [You]; the One who destroys hells;
[Namaskaar] to the Constant Form of Radiance/Prakaash
¹ Narak = Dukh/Pain/Suffering
ਅਨੰਗੀ ਸਰੂਪੇ ॥ ਅਭੰਗੰ ਬਿਭੂਤੇ ॥੧੪੫॥
Ana[n]gee Saroopae; Abha[n]g[ng] Bibhoothae
[Namaskaar] to The One who is free from limbs;
[Namaskaar] to The One who is free from being destroyed - Vibhoothee (One with the Wealth)
ਪ੍ਰਮਾਥੰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਥੇ² ॥ ਸਦਾ ਸਰਬ ਸਾਥੇ ॥
Pramaathh[ng] Pramaathae; Sadhaa Sarab Saathhae
[You are The One] who is the Spiritual Knowledge of All Spiritual Knowledge
[You are The One] who is always as close as our own limbs
² or, the One who churns in a good way among those who churn well [refers to Samundhar Manthan]; meaning the one who destroys demons
ਅਗਾਧ³ ਸਰੂਪੇ ॥ ਨ੍ਰਿਬਾਧ ਬਿਭੂਤੇ⁴ ॥੧੪੬॥
Agaadhh Saroopae; Nribaadhh Bibhoothae
[You are The One] with the Uncrossable/Unreachable Saroop;
[You are The One] with Undestroyable Wealth
³ Away from understanding
⁴ meaning the one who is free from suffering and Holder of wealth
ਅਨੰਗੀ¹ ਅਨਾਮੇ ॥ ਤ੍ਰਿਭੰਗੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਕਾਮੇ ॥
Ana[n]gee Anaamae; Thribha[n]gee Thrikaamae
[You are The One] who free from having a saroop or a name (look at page 128)
[You are The One] who has Unbreakable form;
¹ Free from body, free from form
ਨ੍ਰਿਭੰਗੀ ਸਰੂਪੇ ॥ ਸ੍ਰਬੰਗੀ ਅਨੂਪੇ ॥੧੪੭॥
Nribha[n]gee Saroopae; Sraba[n]gee Anoopae
[You are The One] who makes everyone’s limbs and free from praise
[You are The One] who is impossible to [fully] praise
ਨ ਪੋਤ੍ਰੈ ਨ ਪੁਤ੍ਰੈ ॥ ਨ ਸਤ੍ਰੈ ਨ ਮਿਤ੍ਰੈ ॥
n Pothrai n Puthrai; n Sathrai n Mithrai
[You are The One] who does not have a grandchild or child;
[You are The One] who does not have an enemy or friend
ਨ ਤਾਤੈ ਨ ਮਾਤੈ ॥ ਨ ਜਾਤੈ ਨ ਪਾਤੈ² ॥੧੪੮॥
n Thaathai n Maathai; n Jaathai n Paathai
[You are The One] who does not have a father or mother
[You are The One] who does not take birth or dies
² or, without caste, or family/lineage; meaning ancestry
ਨ੍ਰਿਸਾਕੰ ਸਰੀਕ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਮਿਤੋ ਅਮੀਕ¹ ਹੈਂ ॥
Nrisaak[ng] Sareek Hai[n]; Amitho Ameek Hai[n]
[You are The One] who does not have a relative or sibling;
[You are The One] who is free from measurement and is very profound
¹ Arabic, Ameek = Deep/Profound
ਸਦੈਵੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਜੈ ਹੈਂ ਅਜਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੪੯॥
Sadhaiv[ng] Prabhaa Hai[n]; Ajai Hai[n] Ajaa Hai[n]
[You are The One] who is always Radiating (or Glorious);
[You are The One] who is Undefeatable and free from birth
ਭਗਵਤੀ ਛੰਦ ॥ ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
Bhagvathee Chha[n]dh; Twaprasaadh[i]
Name of Chhand; [With] Your Kirpa
ਕਿ ਜਾਹਰ ਜਹੂਰ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਹਾਜਰ ਹਜੂਰ ਹੈਂ¹ ॥
Ki Jaahar Jahoor Hai[n]; Ki Haajar Hajoor Hai[n]
[Oh The One] who has Visible Radiance/Prakaash;
[Oh The One] who is present (&) in right front of us
¹ Haazar = That who is present
ਹਮੇਸੁਲ ਸਲਾਮ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਮਸਤੁਲ ਕਲਾਮ ਹੈਂ² ॥੧੫੦॥
Hamaesul Salaam Hai[n]; Samasthul Kalaam Hai[n]
[The One] who is always/constantly Secure/Stable;
[The One] who is the Complete Form of Bani
² or, pervades within everyone as Bani
ਕਿ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਿਮਾਗ ਹੈਂ³ ॥ ਕਿ ਹੁਸਨਲ ਚਰਾਗ ਹੈਂ ॥
Ki Saahib Dhimaag Hai[n]; Ki Husnal Charaag Hai[n]
[Oh The One] who is the Master of Wisdom;
[Oh The One] who is the Lamp of Beauty
³ Meaning; Complete Giver/Giver of All
ਕਿ ਕਾਮਲ ਕਰੀਮ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਰਾਜਕ ਰਹੀਮ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੧॥
Ki Kaamal Kareem Hai[n]; Ki Raajak Raheem Hai[n]
[Oh The One] who is Perfectly Graceful;
[Oh The One] who provides us our daily meals (and) compassionate [One]
ਕਿ ਰੋਜੀ ਦਿਹੰਦ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਰਾਜਕ ਰਹਿੰਦ ਹੈਂ¹ ॥
Ki Rojee Dhiha[n]dh Hai[n]; Ki Raajak Rahi[n]dh Hai[n]
[Oh The One] who gives us our daily meals
[Oh The One] who gives us our daily meals and the [One] who liberates us
¹ Rahaa[n]dhan = letting go, releasing someone
ਕਰੀਮੁਲ ਕਮਾਲ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਹੁਸਨਲ ਜਮਾਲ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੨॥
Kareemul Kamaal Hai[n]; Ki Husnal Jamaal Hai[n]
[The One] who is the Bestower of Complete Blessings/Grace;
[Oh The One] who has the Form of Beauty
ਗਨੀਮੁਲ ਖਿਰਾਜ ਹੈਂ² ॥ ਗਰੀਬੁਲ ਨਿਵਾਜ ਹੈਂ ॥
Ganeemul Khiraaj Hai[n]; Gareebul nivaaj Hai[n]
[The One] who removes the enemies;
[The One] who uplifts the poor;
² Ganeemul-Eikhraaj; also means removes from enemies [different paath]
ਹਰੀਫੁਲ ਸਿਕੰਨ ਹੈਂ । ਹਿਰਾਸੁਲ ਫਿਕੰਨ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੩॥
Hareephul Sika[n]n Hai[n]; Hiraasul Phika[n]n Hai[n]
[The One] who breaks the enemies;
[The One] who chucks/throws out fear
ਕਲੰਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਮਸਤੁਲ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਹੈਂ¹ ॥
Kala[n]k[ng] PraNaas Hai[n]; Samasthul nivaas Hai[n]
[The One] who brings insults far away;
[The One] who pervades in everyone
¹ Omnipresent
ਅਗੰਜੁਲ ਗਨੀਮ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਰਜਾਇਕ ਰਹੀਮ ਹੈਂ² ॥੧੫੪॥
Aga[n]jul Ganeem Hai[n]; Rajaaeik Raheem Hai[n]
[The One] who cannot be destroyed by enemies;
[The One] who is the Master of [The Command] and Graceful
² Razaa=happiness; Raazak=Giver of Daily Meals
ਸਮਸਤੁਲ ਜੁਬਾ ਹੈਂ ³॥ ਕਿ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਿਰਾ ਹੈਂ⁴ ॥
Samasthul Jubaa Hai[n] Ki Saahib Kiraa Hai[n]
The One who is the Tongue (Power of Speaking) in All;
[Oh The One] who has Great Mastery
[The One] with a Great Master-Nature
³ Power of Speech, Shabad
⁴ Sahib Kiraa[n] refers to when two good stars meet/cross... it is an [auspicious] time when Great-Masters are born; Kiraa, also refers to union and closeness
ਕਿ ਨਰਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਸ ਹੈਂ || ॥ ਬਹਿਸਤੁਲ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੫॥
Ki narak[n]g PraNaas Hai[n]; Bahisthul nivaas Hai[n]
[Oh The One] who destroys hell;
[The One] who resides in Heaven/Higher Realms
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੁਲ ਗਵੰਨ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਹਮੇਸੁਲ ਰਵੰਨ¹ ਹੈਂ ॥
Ki Sarabul Gava[n]n Hai[n]; Hamaesul Rava[n]n Hai[n]
[Oh The One] who reaches everyone [/within everything];
[The One] who is always pervading
¹ Farsi, Ravi[n]dhah=The One who walks
ਤਮਾਮੁਲ ਤਮੀਜ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਮਸਤੁਲ ਅਜੀਜ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੬॥
Thamaamul Thameej Hai[n]; Samasthul Ajeej Hai[n]
[The One] who recognizes everyone;
[The One] who is Everyone’s Beloved
ਪਰੰ ਪਰਮ ਈਸ² ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਮਸਤੁਲ ਅਦੀਸ ਹੈਂ ॥
Par[ng] Param Ees Hai[n]; Samasthul Adhees Hai[n]
[The One] who is the Master of even the highest/greatest;
[The One] who is not seen by all
² meaning; even greater than Brahma, Shiv, Vishnu
ਅਦੇਸੁਲ ਅਲੇਖ³ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਹਮੇਸੁਲ ਅਭੇਖ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੭॥
Adhaesul Alaekh Hai[n]; Hamaesul Abhaekh Hai[n]
[The One] who is free from (the difference of) countries and away from a Karmic account;
[The One] who is the constant form (or constant look/attire/garb)
³ or, reverence/bow down to You Oh [One] who does not have a Karmic account
ਜਿਮੀਨੁਲ¹ ਜਮਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਮੀਕੁਲ² ਇਮਾ ਹੈਂ ॥
Jimeenal Jamaa Hai[n]; Ameekal Eimaa Hai[n]
[The One] who is Convicted and Profound in All Places and in All Tenses/Times
¹ or, [who] is perfect on the earth and in the sky
² Ameek=Ga[m]bheer, profound faith= Dharam, Convicted; Amaan=Protector, Support
ਕਰੀਮੁਲ ਕਮਾਲ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਜੁਰਅਤਿ ਜਮਾਲ ਹੈਂ³ ॥੧੫੮॥
Kareemul Kamaal Hai[n]; Ki Jurath[i] Jamaal Hai[n]
[The One] who has Complete Grace;
[The One] who has the Beauty of Bravery
³ meaning, the One with Prakaash/Radiance
ਕਿ ਅਚਲੰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਅਮਿਤੋ ਸੁਬਾਸ ਹੈਂ⁴ ॥
Ki Achal[ng] Prakaas Hai[n]; Ki Amitho Subaas Hai[n]
[The One] whose has Stable Radiance;
[The One] who is free from measurement; the One with Fragrance
⁴ Most Fragrant
ਕਿ ਅਜਬ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਅਮਿਤੋ ਬਿਭੂਤ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੯॥
Ki Ajab Saroop Hai[n]; Ki Amitho Bibhooth Hai[n]
[The One] who is the Form of Wonderfulness;
[The One] who has Immeasurable Wealth
ਕਿ ਅਮਿਤੋ ਪਸਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਆਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਹੈਂ¹ ॥
Ki Amitho Pasaa Hai[n]; Ki Aatham Prabhaa Hai[n]
[Oh The One] who has expansion which is free from measurement (or the One with Kirpa);
[Oh The One] who has Spiritual Radiance
¹ The One has Self-Evident Glory
ਕਿ ਅਚਲੰ ਅਨੰਗ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਅਮਿਤੋ ਅਭੰਗ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੬੦॥
Ki Achal[ng] Ana[n]g Hai[n]; Ki Amitho Abha[n]g Hai[n][Oh The One] who is Stable (and) free from a body;
[Oh The One] who is free from measurement (and) free from destruction
