ਅਸੰਖ ਮੂਰਖ ਅੰਧ ਘੋਰ ॥
Asa[n]kh Jap Asa[n]kh Bhaao[u]
-
Padh Arthh (word-by-word):
ਅਸੰਖ (Asa[n]kh) = That which cannot be counted, countless, endless, infinite
ਮੂਰਖ (Moorakh) = The most blind, idiots, ignorant
ਅੰਧ ਘੋਰ (A[n]dhh Ghor) = Absolute Darkness
-
There are countless idiots/ignorant, those who are blind from the correct way of perceiving and in absolute darkness. How are there endless ignorant people? Just like blind can mean darkness, absolute darkness could mean scary and heavy/thick. Just as: in deep darkness (no light) nothing can be seen and so, the people who are ignorant cannot tell the difference between what is good and bad. Those people who do bad actions - do so because they are ignorant/idiot. Guru Maharaj teach us that the person who is acting in Thamogun/Tamogun (Destructive/Selfish/Primal nature), they act out of incorrect perception of reality and out of selfishness caused by spiritual darkness.

By slandering, it doesn’t leave us anything in hand and so, a pointless sin.

ਵਾਰਿਆ ਨ ਜਾਵਾ ਏਕ ਵਾਰ ॥
Vaariaa na Jaavaa Aek Vaar
-
Padh Arthh (word-by-word):
ਵਾਰਿਆ (Vaariaa) =Sacrifice or Varnan/Barnan = Describe
ਨ ਜਾਵਾ (na Jaavaa) = cannot, not go
ਏਕ ਵਾਰ (Aek Vaar) = [TN: even] one time
-
Vaariaa as in Barniaa = not even one pore cannot be described. The Individual Budhhee (Intelligences) that we perceive ourselves to have are part of the One Larger Budhhee (Intelligence) of Vaheguru. The One Larger Budhhee gets perceived individually and so, it describes itself and Vaheguru’s Larger Budhhee through its own perceived individuality. [TN: The following is an example. Don’t take this quite literally and begin to panic at the sound of it. Just like how humans have created computer and developed artificial intelligence for them to process and create information. The information that they process and create is based on the intelligence of humans. It is not standalone intelligence. In the same way, Vaheguru gives us our intelligence but truly, there is only one real intelligence and that belongs to Vaheguru. We have been given intelligence by Vaheguru that we believe is our own but truly, comes from them] Just like the five elements can form to make so many things. We don’t say there are any more than five elements [TN: traditionally not chemically] but just different combinations of those five creating different things.
